At a young age I found myself drawn to angling. It started at my local pond in Essex and has grown over the years to become the passion many of us experience.
My first carp was only a 4lb'er but since that day I've chased its bigger, harder to catch, brethren. I have fished many waters up and down the country culminating in having a syndicate ticket on Wellington Country Park, Berks. I became the lakes manager and committee member of the RDAA.
More recently I'm very proud and honoured to find myself a part of the Mistral Baits Team. I've used Mistral Baits over the years with very good success and consistency along the way. Being part of the team I'm able to give my input and experience back into future bait development for others to take advantage of. Just like I did all those years ago.
Many years ago I approached Mark Hutchinson "Hutch" for some casting tuition in order to gain that bit extra. Since then Hutch and I have become close friends and I've gained a good rapport with Free Spirit as a result.
This year I plan to target as many waters as possible. One of these is the A1 complex, pit 5 in particular, where i caught 'Two Tone' at 39lb 4oz on my first visit of the year in April 2011.
Most of my fishing consists of long range fishing, due to the nature of the waters I'm on. Most of the Mistral range of boilies are excellent for long range throwing stick work - a great bonus for consistent catches.
If you see me on the bank anytime bring your mug and come to say 'hello'.
