I started fishing at a young age, going sea fishing with my dad. My carp fishing started off by complete chance, I was pike fishing and getting plagued by eels so after borrowing some rigs and bait from a mate I managed to catch a 12lb common, that was 14 years ago and I've been hooked ever since.

I do alot of my fishing on Hull and district waters as I live up north in East Yorkshire. These are not the easiest of venues, Brickyard is 10 acres and only has 5 carp in so when I got my night ticket on there i was over the moon. Little did i know 7 hours later I would have the pretty common in the net, result 33lb 8oz of Yorkshire common. I also fish Motorway pond alot and when winter comes I turn my attention to Windmill. Last winter was especially good for me banking ten 20lb plus carp and breaking the lake record in the process.

I love carp fishing and I try to fish 2 to 3 nights a week. When I got the chance to join Mistral Baits i jumped at it, how many bait firms can say they have been going as long as Mistral and have their wealth of knowledge?
