I started fishing at the age of 8 when my Dad used to take me to the local rivers trying to catch anything that came along, catching roach, bream and perch sowed the seed and as the years progressed so did my desire to catch bigger fish. My carp fishing started around 1986 on local Norfolk waters and I was lucky enough to catch my first twenty the same year, this was all the more special as it was one of the real 'history' fish from Ringland lakes. Over the years I have spent my time fishing in my home county, I have been fortunate in that I have had my fair share of twenties and a good number of English thirties, I had my first trip to France last year with fish up to Fifty pounds and look forward to future trips.

I first used Mistral baits about 18 years ago when I phoned Allan for some advise on what to use, he was his usual helpful self, something that I never forgot! I have the utmost confidence in his baits and am delighted to be associated with Mistral.
