Charities, Sponsorship and Field Testing

Charities

We at Mistral get hundreds of requests per year for charitable donations. Due to the harsh realities of life we have decided that we can only afford to donate a certain amount each year and have chosen Stoney & Friends (McMillan Nurses) and Cancer Research UK.

We apologise that no further requests can be entertained but wish all of you fund raisers very good luck with your good causes.

Sponsorships and Field Testing opportunities

We get many hundreds of requests each year for sponsorship and field testing opportunities and obviously it is impossible to cater for even a small percentage of these.

From now on the sponsorship budget has been incorporated into our charitable expenditure and unfortunately we will be unable to consider further requests for subsidized products.

For field testing opportunities please see below.

Field Tester Applications

Many thanks for your interest in Mistral Baits and our range of products. We note your application to become a field tester for Mistral and welcome this.

You must realise however that hundreds upon hundreds of people each year apply for a position like this so we have to be critical on who we take on.

Firstly you must be an experienced angler with over 6 years successful carp fishing behind you. You must be amongst the top rods on your waters too. Anglers who have progressed from gudgeon to perch to roach to tench to bream etc. then carp are especially welcome.

You must have, in the past, caught fish and reported them to the angling press on several occasions. It would be beneficial if these captures were on Mistral products but not essential. Your previous reporting of captures is what we are looking for. Publicity shy anglers are of no use where promotion of products is of importance.

You must also be a person who spends plenty of time active around the fishing circuit - actual fishing, shows, and anything else that brings you up to date with all aspects of the trade.

Being a field tester would also bring responsibilities regarding promotion around your waters with the idea to get local tackle shops stocking our products. Obviously you must catch fish and be of a persuasive nature to be successful.

Being a field tester does not mean cheap bait that you sell to friends and other anglers on the lake side. For Mistral we need excellent responsible anglers with good attitude to all and sundry.

For this we would offer a discounted rate on bait sales the price of which would reflect upon the effort you put in. Most people will drop on the first hurdle but the rewards are there for those who are able and try to better themselves.

If you fill all or most of our requirements please don't hesitate to call us.

Best wishes
